Live the Glory of God
Sunday Worship at 8:30 am  10:45 am
Sunday School 9:30 am
Jesus said if we abide in him we will bear much fruit.  We try to live in and for Jesus, but when it comes to making new disciples for Him, sometimes it seems we’re not quite getting it done.  And the last thing we want is for God to be disappointed in us.  We long to see God work through us to touch and change more lives.

We’re doing our best to fulfill our Godgiven mission – or are we?  for whatever reason, we’re seeing mixed results.  Why don’t we have more to show for all our efforts?  Lord, give us just a little more time.  Cultivate in us a more faithful witness so we can be successful in making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Opportunities to Serve
PCCSM: Clothing Ministry
April 16th & 18th
10 am – 3pm
(can work split shifts)
Light lunch provided.

PCCSM stands for  Polk County Christian Social Ministries.  Seven area churches serve on the PCCSM board and we take turns working at the Free Clothing store, so BUMC takes our turn every 7 weeks.

The clothing center is located just off the Bolivar square on the SE corner.  We are in the basement and the door is on the side near the alley.  The clothing center is open Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 10am to 3pm each day.

We distribute (free of charge) used clothing and small household items to the needy of Polk County.  (besides clothes we have shoes, dishes, toys, towels, sheets, small appliances, bric-a-brac…..etc….anything people want to donate.)  We rely on the community to donate these items.  We are 501c3 so we can offer donors a tax receipt for their donations.
