The Message:
“Love Like This with Heart and Soul”

based on Luke 10:25-28, Mark 1:35-39  New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

Mark 1:35-39 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place
35
Very early in the morning, Jesus Prays in a Solitary Placewhile it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
36
Simon and his companions went to look for him,
37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
